The "
Z8 Basic Single Board Computer Rev.06" is a further development of the "Z8 Basic Single Board Computer Rev.05".
The following changes/adjustments were made:
The USB interface was pre-equipped in SMD and is expanded with a USB-C socket.
The circuit board can be powered via USB. Can be adjusted via jumpers.
The RAM memories U17 and U3 could already be supplied in Rev.05 via a 2032 battery in the event of a power failure.
In the new version Rev.06, this assembly is SMD and pre-assembled, including battery holder for the 2032 battery.
All other circuit parts are designed as in Rev.05. See current circuit.

1 xExpansion port for own extensions with data and address bus
and control signals / DS, R / W. see Schematic.
In addition there are chip select signals for the addresses:
0x7000, 0x4000 und 0x3000 put on the expansion port.

New basic interpreter for the Z8 with an extended range of functions.
New functions: FOR, NEXT, STEP, ABS, RND, PEEK, POKE, SIZE, WAIT, DELAY, PIN, POUT (PIN, POUT for port input and output)
Existing functions: LIST, RUN, NEW, CLEAR, LET, IF, GOTO, GOSUB, RETURN, REM, INPUT, PRINT, END, USR
BASIC programs can be loaded via the serial interface. (Instructions in the ZIP file)
All other functions are integrated. In the new ZIP there is a short description.
The basic interpreter has a memory size of 4KB.
U3 - 2KB SRAM 6116 must be equipped
U17 - 32KB SRAM 62256 (24KB usable) must be populated
The BASIC interpreter will be further developed.
It is possible to adjust the crystal frequencies in the BIN file. (see description in the ZIP file)
